This October, Damapel, a tissue paper producer, launched its new product 100% free of plastic. Fancy Planet is the first toilet paper in Brazil packaged in paper, and Sertec20 in Brazil partnered in the development of this project.
The company, which had previously participated in the development of Brazil’s first sustainable toilet paper throughout its life cycle — Carinho Eco Green by Copapa — is now responsible for the sealing technology of Damapel’s new product.
This sealing technology is not only intended for tissue paper but also for cups and other products in the paper industry.
Sertec20’s Serafilm line comprises waterproofing products for Cobb control (for papers used in refrigerators and others) and barriers against moisture, oil, temperature, sealable and vapor.
It introduces innovative products to the general paper market that achieve high-efficiency waterproofing/barrier capabilities, using 100% biodegradable raw materials, many of which come from renewable sources.
Among other products in the line, Serafilm B20 — responsible for adhering to the paper packaging of Fancy Planet — is a high-performance barrier that acts as an excellent primer when used in low dosages.
Serafilm B20 Print also allows for the sealing of products and differentiates itself by enabling high-resolution printing on the film.
These products are part of the company’s newest and most innovative line, bringing absolutely unique technologies to the sector to meet the stringent demands of special markets.
