SERZYM RANGE
SERZYM range is the natural way to reduce hydrogen peroxide consumption (TCF bleaching) in pulp, and makes savings in active chlorine consumption (Elemental Chlorine-Free), by 10-20%.
The objective of this application is to reach higher pulp brightness values without compromising the properties of the pulp. This treatment is also an environmentally friendly process.
It degrades part of the hemicellulose (xylan) present in the fibre surface.
This allows the hydrogen peroxide, ozone or chlorine to more effectively attack lignin in the fibre, chemicals get improved access to lignin.
