Treatment specially developed for the degradation of starch used for the coating and surface sizing of paper applied in Size-Press.

The aim of the treatment is to adjust the viscosity of the starch according to the needs and the desired properties.

The α-amylase exerts its action on the starch polymers allowing adjustment of the viscosity level of starch solution to the needs.

Since it only targets on the starch, it does not negatively affect the cellulose, as it would occur with the use of oxidative methods.
